Mississippi is the very definition of the Old South. If you want to explore it, here are a few tips on Mississippi RV lodgings where you can stay.

Mississippi is a great state to visit no matter what time of year. The temperate climate of this state, combined with its situation along the Mississippi River and the Gulf Coast, mean that this area is a perfect spot for vacationers who want to get away from the blustery north. This state is also home to many different historical sites because of its connection to the Civil War. A major location for Civil War battles, there are many different monuments and historic places throughout the state that make for interesting attractions. If you want to enjoy the history or the beauty of this state, Mississippi RV lodgings are a good way to stay here.

The coastal area of Mississippi is much more than just a beach area. With cities like Biloxi located in its region, this part of the state is both urban and rural, semi-tropical and changeable. This area was also hard hit by Hurricane Katrina, and has been spending billions of dollars in repairs and refurbishing the area. Today, a trip to the Mississippi coast may not give travelers the same look that it did before the hurricane, but many of the major attractions of the area are still available and have reopened after extensive repairs. Many of the casinos located in the Biloxi area, for example, have been reopened with only a few exceptions.

One of the Mississippi RV lodgings that is centrally located to all that coastal Mississippi has to offer is the Indian Point RV Resort, in Gauter, Mississippi. This RV park is situated on the Sioux Bayou, and is within just a few miles of twelve different casino facilities, as well as 26 miles of sugar sand beaches. This area of Mississippi is known as the “Playground of the South” and is also home to many different attractions – like fishing, fine dining and shopping, cultural, historic and artistic attractions.

The “Golden Gulf Coast” is appealing to many travelers, and those who choose to park their RV at the Indian Point RV Resort won't be disappointed. There are 76 hook ups available here, with 71 including power and water. Sewer hookups are available at the other four sites. Some of the campsites also include barbecue grills, and pull through sites are also available. The lodging itself includes other amenities, such as a country store and kitchen, a fishing pier, miniature golf, two swimming pools and a laundry facility.

Staying in the southern coastal region of Mississippi is a perfect way to combine the thrill of the outdoors with more adult pursuits like casino gambling. No matter who comes along on your trip there will be sure to be something for everyone to do here.
