They are a quick growing association, with chapters in California, Nevada and Oklahoma. Chapters in other states are currently being organized. The Mexican American Political Association, founded in Fresno, California in 1960, has been and is dedicated to the constitutional and democratic principles of political freedom and representation for Mexican, Chicano, and Latino people in the United States of America. MAPA is dedicated to strengthening citizen's participation in the political process. Please do your part and participate in the political process which impacts your community.
